The Creative Teacher Hub

Creativity is a MUST for teachers.
Creativity is a choice one makes
At the CTH we look at Creativity as a must, not an option. Without creative pedagogy, do you really think you can cater for the diversity that governs our groups? Without creativity, how could you possibly plan a lesson from scratch without using any material? Without creative pedagogy, could you provide your groups with the variety and the options they need? Without creative pedagogy, could you manufacture classroom surprises that are effective in getting your students’ attention? We think not.
While Creativity may not be a cure-all, we believe it should be at the core of what we do.
The way we see it, Creativity should not be something teachers do just for fun, when they have time to play a game or doing something ‘off the wall’. We believe Creative pedagogy, far from being a magic solution, should be at the core of what we do.
Creativity is defined in psychology as ‘a cluster of skills to manufacture ideas or products that are original and valuable (Sternberg)’. We have adapted it to ‘Creativity is a cluster of skills we use to develop classroom strategies that are original and pedagogically valuable’. The good news is that Creativity (of the everyday type) can be taught, can be learned, can be cultivated. Creativity is like a muscle, it needs to be exercised: the more you do it, the better you get at it. Our training sessions will help you do just that: awaken your creative self, find out what strategies work for you, choose the right mindset, learn to explore and experiment so that you can surprise your learners, transform your classrooms and have more fun with your teaching! Yes, YOU can do it! But the CTH is more than just creativity training. We offer training in a wide array of different topics. Our mission is to inspire you so you can empower your students and lead change.

Ideas that are original, motivating and valuable.
