Teachers are amazing. They work hard day in day out, they do their best often in unrewarding circumstances. So we at CTH want to do our bit to make your day easier: here’s a few activities to help you (and your students) have more fun in the classroom, to make you laugh and to stimulate your creativity (and theirs).

YES/NO
1) In pairs, A and B: The A asks yes/no questions, the B keeps answering NO forcefully.
Then they switch over, the B asks the questions, the A keeps answering YES enthusiastically.
Now the A asks more questions, the B this time answers No, but guess what…
Ex: Do you like cats? No, but guess what: I love dogs!
Have the students swop one more time, the B asks the questions and the A answers:
Yes, and on top of that…
Ex: Do you like ice-cream? Yes, and on top of that, it’s my favorite dessert!
Count on me!
2) To help the students focus at the beginning of a class, or whenever their attention slumps:
Pair the students off: A counts out loud from 1-60. B counts down out loud from 60-1.
The students have to start and finish at the same time.
